The forecast for tomorrow is picture perfect! If you plan on coming, but haven't registered yet, please do so we can have an accurate head count - and please feel free to sign up guests. The party is Saturday, September 30th from 5:30-9:30. The Club will provide smoked meat (a whole pig, beef brisket, bbq pork, and ribs) and a keg of Dogfishhead 60 Minute IPA. Sides, other drinks and desserts are pot-luck.
The event fee is $15 per adult (members and guests) and $10 per child, to cover cost of meat, beer and babysitters. Little kids that will stay with parents are free. Pay in advance or at the door - but we do ask that you register so we know how much food to have. You are welcome to register and bring guests to the party!
Kids are welcome! We will have teenage Club members babysitting 3+ year old (potty trained) children upstairs. They'll enjoy a kid-friendly movie and munch on popcorn, pizza - and smoked meat!
If you are looking for an idea for a great side, consider soft pretzels. Fun to make and everybody loves them! We'll also need slider buns, coleslaw, salad, soft drinks, etc.
Open-Call for Smoked Meat Chefs - If interested in bringing a smoked meat dish (we still need someone to volunteer for chicken), or tending the pig box during the day on the 30th, please contact Bob Ward.
Scheduling this was tricky, and we apologize to those who will be celebrating the holiday on the 30th - we will have another Club-wide event in late October.
